Accessing the services
All consultations are by appointment only. Generally the morning surgery times are from 9.00am to 11.00am but some doctors offer earlier appointments from 7.30am. Afternoon surgeries are between 2.00pm and 6.00pm and some doctors offer later appointments between 6.00pm and 7.00pm. The telephone number for GP appointments is 01506 882 882
Nurses appointments (e.g. for blood tests, dressings, etc) are made by telephoning the community receptionist on 01506 880582.
Demand for appointments is always high and if you are unable to keep an appointment please let us know so that it can be offered to someone else.
There is always a duty doctor or nurse practitioner available for emergency appointments and telephone advice. If you feel you require an emergency appointment please telephone the surgery first. It is not always possible to see the doctor of your choice.
Emergency appointments are much shorter than for routine consultations so the doctor or nurse practitioner will normally only be able to deal with the immediate problem. The duty doctor is also on call for emergencies and therefore there might be a delay in you being seen at the allotted time
Home visits for patients too unwell to attend the surgery should be requested by telephone on 882882 before 10.30am. Later requests should be for emergencies only.
If you require an emergency doctor when the Health Centre is closed please telephone NHS 24 directly on 111
Should you require to be seen, the nurse adviser will arrange a consultation for you.
This service is strictly for medical emergencies only.
An emergency only service is available at this health centre between 8.00 – 8.30am, Monday to Friday. Please telephone first.
