There is now a National COVID hub; if you have a cough, fever or other respiratory symptoms that cannot be self-managed then please phone 111. Their lines are extremely busy but they are open 24/7, and if it is felt you need medical attention this will be organised via the hub. Please visit the NHS Inform website for the most up to date information regarding COVID 19.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY UNLESS YOU HAVE A PREBOOKED APPOINTMENT OR HAVE BEEN ASKED TO ATTEND BY A MEMBER OF STAFF. PLEASE CONTACT US BY TELEPHONE FOR ALL ENQUIRIES IN FIRST INSTANCE.
We have made the decision to suspend all face to face doctor appointments. If you require medical attention please contact us by phone where a telephone consultation will be offered with a member of the clinical team. In light of the ever changing situation we will only be booking our appointments 2 days in advance.
We will still be providing appointments for procedures deemed clinically appropriate such as urgent blood tests for INR monitoring, Pre-Chemo treatment or Immuno suppressed patients.
Do not attend the surgery or pharmacy if you have any of the symptoms below or have been in contact with anyone with these symptoms in the last 7 days:
For repeat prescriptions: Please order via the local pharmacies, they will collect the prescription from us. Alternatively you can order on this website or email us (prescriptionsEC@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk) please nominate a pharmacy when doing so.
For routine health advice or minor ailments: Consider using the local pharmacy or visiting NHS Inform as your first point of contact. If you need further advice please contact us by phone and we will organise for a member of our clinical team to phone you back. Please do not turn up in person as we are trying to protect our most vulnerable patients.
Please check the important notices section of our website, this will be updated continually with any important issues affecting the practice.
Thank you for your co-operation during these exceptional circumstances.
